National Association of Skill Development (NASD) is a constituent board, incorporated under the legislation of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. To promote Social development and Rural empowerment by undertaking Skill Development activities including but not limited to providing suitable skill development programmes, ensure quality through effective implementation, assessment and certification for supporting to get appropriate employment for the good of the country also include social development activities such as Women & Child Development, Health & Sanitation, Climate Change & Environment, PWD, Science & Technology, Education and EDP & MSME for charity or at concessional rate subject to approval/recognition from appropriate authorities/government.
Skill development and Enhancement helps people to get better jobs placement and start of the own enterprises (Entrepreneurship skill). We are focusing to impart not only the domain skills and also give importance to the soft skills, communication skill and relevant IT skills, It helps improving communication, problem-solving skills, computer literacy and decision making skills etc.,
Attitude, Skills, Knowledge and Actions are important component to drive socio-economic growth for any country and country with appropriate level of skills would be a skill capital of the world.
Lacks of skills perpetuate poverty and inequality, having when right skills set can reduce underemployment, increase productivity, and improve standards of living. Supporting people to develop and enhance their skills makes economic sense. That is why NASD is initiates to ensure the quality of the skill training for the youth belongs to both urban and rural areas willing to cover entire Nation.
Govt. of India was already set up a National Skill Development Mission to fulfil the growing need of India for skilled manpower across all the sectors and minimize the existing skill gap between the demand and supply of the potential manpower to the entire world. There is a compelling need to launch an essential skill development programme in a mission mode that will address the challenge of imparting the skills required by a growing economy. Assisting this mission, NASD is also working towards the National mission.
